question about the mesh fence to keep chickens?

I was thinking of putting up chicken wire fences to keep chickens out neighbors, keeping a little on the ground so that the rabbit can come and go. How far will a chicken to get under a fence?

I think it depends on the size of chicken. Our chickens will not average size less than four inches away from our horse to take the pen but will fly over the fence of 5 feet. Unless you plan to unite you want to keep them out, you may have a different strategy. A dog is what we use to keep them off the forecourt. Chicks dig the dog. I do not know it was a help, but I tried.
