Pet Bird

How can I bond with my pet bird?
I have a pet bird is a male and Western Rosella since I got him (31-3-06) always been away from me when I approach him. When I go to fill the food dish and water dish Hopps away from my hand and when I clean the cage flits died around him anxiously. When I or my mom brushes around his cage he goes crazy on the inside and tries to get away from the brush. His name is Olly and I would try to link with him. If people need your answers I need help with this I do not hate me my pet. Thanks for reading this.
As owner of many birds in my life, I can tell you, the answers already received and I read before coming here to give my answer, christinaa, has the best so far, although it focuses on training a bird to talk and what I've heard they want is simply a way to bond with your bird. The link with any animal takes at least three things: time and patience, and an understanding of exactly what you want to identify whether or not to bonded. As christinaa says, some birds take months and even years to learn to speak, and yet never could. The same is true about "bonding", however you want to identify or measure of that word. As Nikki says: your bird can only be afraid of a human being, since you are much bigger than the bird, and can not rationalize that you want to love and feed it. I know that one of my dogs, big German shepherd that was given to us by a friend who was departing, was so afraid of people on the first day we got him, he left the garden fence and ran into the street and I was not unwilling to return for long. Finally we decided to leave just a little food and water in the driveway for him and just go in and see what he would do when their hunger and thirst got a hold of him. Well, I finally came back down the driveway and ate and drank, but not yet in the backyard. As he calmed down and was allowed to eat and drink at ease and sense of security, which finally decided to come to eat and drink inside the door of the fence, and then shut the door on him for not going out on the street and get hurt. And we do not force ourselves on him if he fell. We feed and water him and relaxed more and more and then go to stroke and then brush it. Then we took a walk, and did great until we reached another person walking in the other direction and then literally hugged the ground and not moving. And they were not able to take him to stand up or move until after the other person had left. As we took him to veterinarian, we asked the vet about the behavior of other people around and said he wondered if he had been abused as a puppy. No, the veterinarian said. He had been brought out in the country, in a semi-abandoned house, the only company that was to be his father, another large German shepherd. The vet came to say that if we can imagine what went through our dog's mind and emotions of the first day I saw an animal standing on two feet instead of four, and 6 feet tall in rather than the size of a dog, then we could see the fear of humans. This is a long story of a dog, I know, but it is the clearest story I have to tell you how terrible your bird can be, and the absolute best that you have for this bird is your time and patience. Expect nothing of your bird. Be as nice and peaceful around your bird as you can, and move slowly and quietly as the change is food and water and paper. Spend time talking to him softly, so he can hear his voice and feel comfortable with it. In Sometimes, as you have to put your hand in the cage, do it slowly and steadily, and not react with fear to their birds squawking and flapping around. Simply go so constant and peaceful about their task of feeding and watering it, and changing their role cage. Believe me, over time your bird will subside gradually. His calm is itself phase of the union. You are getting exactly what you ordered, even if you wanted more clear and demonstrative. Accept the relationship in terms of your bird, and he will feel much more secure and confident, then you can possibly (and I remember I said "possibly") offer a linking more demonstrative. I know she has six birds, and 4 dogs, one of whom is my German Shepherd was talking about, and you can bet, I and my German shepherd are the best friends, and knows that I love and I know he loves me, and we will be close until the day one of us dies, which, according to life expectancy, it will be before me. Just relax and go to step of the birds, and get the best marriage you can have. Oh, and make sure your cage is not around a lot of sudden noises and strong movements. That'll keep her fear all his life. Ya'll have fun. God bless you.
