Bird found in the soil outside?
"I live in DFW, Texas. There is a bird outside my house on the ground. Yes, that or she is alive. He or she is in the shade. The bird still has some of the feathers of her baby. The bird is about baby birds squawk from her breast. So, my question. What I do? Should I leave him alone? Are you learning to fly and normal responses? appreciated. Thanks
If the bird is fully feathered, it is likely that a young left the nest on their own and parents to care for her. It is normal for birds to leave the nest before they can fly. You need to replace in the place she found him .. preferably in a bush or tree so it is relatively safe from predators, and parents should return to food. If no feathers … then locate a nest and if you can find … replaced in the nest. Do not worry about your smell in birds .. Chick has a highly developed sense of smell and not reject a baby who has been affected. If you can not find a nest, the bird to get a wildlife rehabilitation for the best local chance of survival.
